Week ten is now complete! We now have just over three weeks left in the official creation period, and four and a half weeks of additional wiggle room in the posting period. That makes this a great time to post your info in the beta volunteer post! Each week, I'll make a new check-in post with a few optional discussion questions. You can use this post to update us on our progress, complain, celebrate, or talk to other participants! Also feel free to discuss each week's questions in our discord server.

1. So far, are you over or under the length you expected? Do you usually have a good idea how long a project will end up being when you start?

I'm not entirely sure if I'll manage to finish, unfortunately. I'm way under wordcount as well as not having a complete story, and I think I'll be knocked out due to IRL stuff through almost the entirety of August.

I'm one of those "perfect first draft" people, so a lot of the time what I do is shove the work into a hole and just leave it there to marinate for like, six weeks (or more, if I have the time) and then come back and rewrite sections of it. It's less editing and more rewriting, I think.
